These are great bags. Good size holes to allow easy drainage but keep the grain and such contained. The bigger one is perfectly sized for both my 8 gallon still as well as a 5 gallon bucket. I did try cooking my mash in the bag but proper stirring is hard because the bag gets in the way. But, you can always pull the bag up a bit and mix it around some inside the bag. I will mainly use these for straining my mash after fermenting. They held up to 2 uses with hot water so far just fine and were easy to clean too. Just turn them inside out and hose them off really well.

The brew bags can be use for multifunction. The size could be a little bigger because I use it for making tofu too. The bag is strong. The material is from good quality fabric.

I had been using a pair of laundry bags that weren't doing that bad but too much got through. A pain to batch it out.Happy to have these. I have a 6gal batch fermenting now and the next batch will probably use these. These are two sizes made from a fine nylon? mesh. The larger one has a mouth large enough to fit over a 7gal bucket and have it hit the bottom. The smaller one no so much; 3gal batch I guess. If anything off happens I'll repost but I really doubt it... they're bags after all.

I'm using these with an apple press for cider, and these work well. Make sure you're getting the size you need.Easy to clean - throw them in the wash, then sanitize before use.

As someone who has done over 100 batches of beer using brew in a bag, I know something about bags. The quality of these bags are great. The fine mesh is great for straining your grain. The draw string top with the slide means you can keep it from slipping. The price is fantastic.I only need to mention the sizes here. Neither of these bags is suitable for your standard 5 gallon kettle you might get at your brew store. The small is too small, the large is way way too large. Just make sure you measure your kettle to make sure that one of these bags is going to be the right size, including the depth. If it fits, I say get it.

I am a regular homebrewer with a 25 liter all in one system (among others). Both bags have a fine mesh to prevent grain from passing through. The drawstring is thick with a large sliding lock to position it at the top of the mash tun insert in my case. The large one fits well enough, a little wider than needed. The smaller bag will be perfect for adjunct additions like fruit or even as a bag for dry hoping larger quantities.
