The thing that surprised me more than anything: no tools are required for assembly. For a second when you unpack it, it looks complicated. I think that's because this system is so complete: there are the parts that make the hanging folder boxes, but there are also the hanging file folders themselves and the labels and tabs. Once you sort it, though, you realize it's a very few parts that basically just snap together. An ingenious design, I feel. The resulting filing system is attractive and compact. Highly recommended.
