My wife had a leg injury and had a hard time getting in and out of the car, my neighbor suggested these and I ordered them. This item is going to be very useful for my wife to enter and exit the car!

strong. Sturdy. comfortable to hold. Will not support full body weight for long. i do not recommend for overweight people. I put my full body weight down on it and pushed down a few times moving the car up and down slightly with every push and i heard a tiny crack sound. nothing major but the plastic would've given out or cracked open if i kept going. as for the elderly i most certainly believe from a seated position it will assist no problem. i got in and out of my car multiple times no issue. its very cool and the grip length is more than enough for large and small hands. also it comes with a seat belt cutter built in and a glass breaker tip. this thing is awesome! and for a two pack you cant go wrong. Price is right!

This was a game changer for my 89 year old mom. By sticking this into the door hook, she had a sturdy grab handle to help her get out of the car. The grip is good. The hammer/hook thing is sturdy.It looks like this is also designed to be able to cut a seat belt or break a window in case of emergency. That's a bonus. But I'm really just sold on the assistance handle. And because it's a two pack, I can give one to my brother for when he takes my mom out. Now if only I could find some way to help her swing her feet into the car...
