This is a delicate die set, as in the material is delicate. The pattern is also delicate and quite cute. I suggest using snips to get the pieces apart. I just used my hands but was very nervous about bending the dies. Also there were sharp nubs left that I would suggest filing down so they don’t catch on your paper. It took me a little time to get my sandwich correct for the best cutting pressure with my embossing machine. But, even after using a very firm pressure, the little star shaped center pieces didn’t all cut out completely. Since I only need a few of the centers, I don’t mind too much. Overall I like this set - it cut decently, the design is really sweet and versatile, and it’s inexpensive. The petals can be stacked to create as full of a flower as you like. I will use this for card making and this flower design will be great for multiple occasions. It will also be great for scrapbooking and collage.*update- I did eventually get all the little star pieces to cut completely but it took a lot of pressure in my embossing machine*

This was a difficult die to assemble once cut. The cutting part is as easy as any other die, except if you like to have three colors as in the picture in the listing you need to choose three colors of cardstock or color the cardstock after cutting.Actual assembly is more than just putting the pieces in the right places. The petals of the flower need to be shaped and they are tiny. If I didn't have fingernails I don't know how I would have shaped those petals. Then there are the tiny bits that go in the center of the flower. I needed a pair of tweezers to get those in place. I don't have a good glue pen either so that was quite the challenge. I have something called a glue pen but it still puts out too much glue at one time. I still managed to get just about the right amount of glue needed. This review should not be about my skills in assembling the flower, but I did want others to know that it is not easy to get the final result as shown in the picture. It's possible, but not easy. My result isn't great but with practice it could e good. The final flower "arrangement" itself is quite small, see the attached picture. It's about 2 1/2 inches tall in total. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars is twofold. One is that the difficulty is not mentioned anywhere in the listing. It should say somewhere that it's not for beginners. The other is that the final size of the flower is not given anywhere. It's even difficult to discern the size of the dies.
