I expected stand-up rigid boxes with flip lids. These are thin plastic with a snap top. I’m not sure how I will use them.

The pressure required to engage and release the snap is excessive. If the case is not full of cards, you can forget about getting the snap to engage. And once you do get the snap to engage, you will probably need something like a knife to pry the snap apart. While using your fingers will work, the bottom of the snap has a tendency to try to separate from the case. Which is a good thing because it makes it easier to cut the snap bottom off and remove it from the case so the cover fits smoothly when held closed with a rubber band.

These cases are a handy tool for organizing and protecting index cards, in a medium size pack that's much easier to carry than the standard "recipe box" style of card holder. Comfortably holds 50 cards and you can get away with more. Dividers come with tab stickers (I just used my label maker) and there's also a pocket under the flap that holds a card (smaller than 3x5) that can be used to label/index the contents. Glad these come in a 4 pack, because I would have just ordered 1 but now that I have them they are very handy. Great for flash cards--I use mine for Scripture verses I want to read and review.

Exactly what I needed to hold my son's index cards that he uses to study for his Latin class. The cases seem to be pretty durable and has a snap button closure that ensures the index cards don't fall out of the case when he carries them around in his back pack. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and feel it was a good price for 4 cases.

We are using these index cases for professional development. We print on index cards and store them in the case. So far our teachers love them. They are light weight, hold 3" x 5" index cards, and come in different colors so we can color code the cards. They keep the cards in order and gives a much better presentation than a rubber band wrapped around them. Or trying to get them in order because the rubber band broke in the carrying bag. Well pleased!

The plastic of one of the cases was broken when I got it. They are very difficult to snap closed.

I bought these to organize various flashcards and such for my piano studio. They are just the right size. And they come with little dividers & labels which I used for some items. They seem sturdy and compact. I bought a little drawer organizer and stand them up in it for storage. Works perfectly.

As described. The snaps are a little tough though.
