Last year I purchased a 19 foot runabout with a Volvo Penta 4.3 liter V-6 engine. Since it was used I have no idea of the previous maintenance I wanted to replace some things that need changed out routinely.The GHmarine thermostat repair service kit is for OMC and Volvo Penta 4.3 liter, 5.0 liter, 5.7 liter, and 5.8 liter stern drive engines. This thermostat is a direct replacement for items 379754, 383307, 3852216, 3856961, and Sierra 18-3554. I just replaced the fresh water pump in my 4.3l volvo penta larson boat. Problem was that the pump disintegrated before I did so. So I have chunks in the water jacket and probably the thermostat. So when I take it off to check it, I'll just replace it. This comes with a nice gasket so it'll be an easy check/swap.
