Our rats dislike the typical small animal water bottles and prefer a water bowl. Of course, with that bowl, the water gets spilled and can lead to molding in the cage. This water dispenser hangs out on the side of the cage, and with gravity allows for free-standing water to come out, like you can get for cats and dogs. It is excellent for the water part, but settling it in the cage was tricky. You need to let the bowl rest on the floor, as it doesn't have the usual hanging power of other water bottles. Getting the water started was also a bit of a pain, and we had to move the bottle around to ensure water came out. Even with these minor issues, I like this water dish compared to other means of watering!

This is a very good very well-made easy to use pet water bottle. It fit perfectly in the bars of my cage at first it’s a little confusing, figuring out how to work it but once you get the hang of it, it works very well. Keep the water clean and only lets a little bit out at a time. I can see this working for a long time the plastic as well made high-quality. I really like this product and I definitely recommend recommended.
