These are decent media bags with a very fine mesh so useful for carbon or GFO. They are pretty small but have their uses.

I admit it . . . after 40 years of aquarium keeping I consider myself old school. I am from the crowd that would mod their hob filters by putting charcoal or lava rock in hosiery to make them more effective.Oh how far we have came.These come shrink wrapped in plastic. They are pure white as shown. The netting is perfect for larger things . . . like bioballs or ceramic rings, but just large enough that the smaller items (calcium powder, purigen, etc.) can come through. There are a lot of hung threads, but they seem to hold together just the same. The zippers work smoothly and without catching. Definitely easier to use than hose . . .

I love the plastic zipper bags over the ones that tie! These are a great size for a small AIO aquarium. These mesh is small, but not tiny. It keeps my Rox 0.8 carbon just fine, but doesn’t build up with film.
