I did not care for this reel. For me it was too big and bulky for for ice fishing and the line release is awkward to fish with alot. It is a quality 13 fishing product works just like it should it just wasn't for me.

Been using this reel for 3 seasons now and love it. The carbon disk drag is very smooth and quiet. I have had no issues dropping jigs from 1/8 to 2oz. I dont fish in a heated hut, i sit on a bucket out in the cold. No issues with the spool freezing like others have said. Once u set the spool tension and brake its just like other baitcasters. Have landed fish from perch, sun fish, walleye, pickerel, and bass. No problems at all.

I used this reel last year and was very pleased with it.light jigs drop well with it .in deep water lake trout fishing i had no line twist from the trout running out line several times,the only draw back is the gears seem to have a bad spot that takes an effort to crank especially with a big fish on the line,for the price i would not expect that to happen thats why only 4 stars

I really loved the idea of the reel. I had to return it because there must be some question behind a LH and a RH reel. I would still like to try a LH reel.

The magnetic brake seems to do absolutly nothing. The thing that gets to me, besides being priced 3 times what is should be,is the complete lack of a bait clicker , or line alarm. Advertised as: "This is the perfect reel for Walleye and Pike in medium to deep water." Ha! Ha! A ice reel for Pike and Walleye without this key feature is revolutionary alright! In my dictionary perfect means without flaw. Lack of a key feature like the clicker is a major flaw. No I would not reccommend this to a freind. The reel shipped quickly and was well packaged. No manual in unopened box.

If money is no object, this is the reel for you. It is first class all the way. No twist on light weight line keeps jigging raps from spinning on hard water. Not for extremely light lures, but perfect otherwise. Soon as I save up, I'm going to buy more.
