I love these cutters. I go through a ton of them while using my lathe. I do sharpen them on a diamond stone, but it's nice that I can change them out and keep going, then sharpen them when the dull pile gets full. These fit well on my chisel handles and cut well. You can also "index" them, meaning you can rotate them several times to use the full cutter surface before changing them.

these are probably the best replacements i ever got for my lathe tool replacement bit, ive ordered others before and they were so thin and cheap and cracked just tightning the screw but not these, i dont know if they did something cryogenically to make these stronger but man are they strong and sharp! couldnt be happier!!

The blades fit my turning handles well and they are sharp. Tested on a piece of white oak on my lathe and the blade cut cleanly and evenly. Great value for the price at only $2 per insert. I will be ordering these again.

These are some very nice cutters for your wood shop. Like many wood turners, I keep a variety of tools around for the various requirements but especially the different sizes for the carbide bits. I had been using mostly the 8.9mm &12mm round cutters but when I saw the 16mm cutters I had to give them a try. These are quite sharp and have no problem removing material, even when using resin. These were throwing some nice shavings the other night and made short work of some maple and cherry. They cut cleanly which means a follow up with a finishing cut and some sanding and you're done. These will last me for some time to come and the way they package them allows for easy storage. I am able to put them up without worry of their becoming dulled by sitting in a draw/bowl being rubbed each time you open the drawer or reach in the bowl. Pricewise you really can't beat these. They break down to less then $2.50 per cutter and depending on how much you are turning, they should last through the year easily for myself.

Out of the box, the blades have a good sharp edge on them. The fit on the handle was true and secure - at no point did I feel like it would be dangerous to use.I tested on a piece of pine I am making a vase out of and, overall, the cuts were clean (as clean as they can be on pine). I tested the blade making surface detail cuts (shaping the outside into different patterns) and to hollow out the inside - no issues. Actually held up very well during the hollowing, better then I expected. I did have to rotate the blade once when I wanted a cleaner cut on one surface, but that is to be expected.Overall, compared to other value-priced blades, I thought this was a good option. I will most likely pick up more for the different handles that I use.

These cutters were quite sharp, and fit all of my turning tools perfectly. Most importantly, they cut very smoothly, and at the time I am writing this, are the lowest price for cutters of this size that I could find anywhere. I also especially like the packaging for these cutters. It is much more compact than the typical flat pack that cutters of this type usually come it. I haven't tried resharpening one of these yet, but I have no reason to think that I'll have any issues on that front either. These seem to be great value, and I definitely recommend them!
