This magnifying glass is professional-grade, a significant upgrade from my previous setup; the glass is crystal clear and large enough that I no longer feel like I’m squinting through a keyhole. It’s ideal not just for electronics or soldering but also for model making, movie prop building (my use case), and certainly jewelry work too; it’s the perfect tool for anyone working with small details. As a hobbyist and maker, I’ve struggled to solder and do detailed work using a separate light and a basic magnifier, which never quite cut it. This solves all of that in one go.The built-in LED ring light under the lens is USB-powered and super bright, but it’s also dimmable and offers five different color temperature settings to suit various tasks. Most USB ports should work, though some low-power ones might not deliver enough current, given how powerful the light is. That said, I just plug it into a standard phone charging brick and it works flawlessly.The articulating arm is spring-loaded with four strong springs and stays firmly in place—no drooping or drifting. There are tension knobs at the "elbow" and "wrist" joints for adjusting height and tilt, and the head swivels easily when you need it out of the way. The weighted base is low-profile and stays put; there is an included clamp for anchoring the base to a desk or workbench, but it stands on its own. Assembly takes less than five minutes—just attach the arm to the base with the provided collar and you're ready to go.In my experience thus far, the lens needs to be fairly close to your work to be effective, but there's ample room beneath it. I wear bifocal glasses, which can make it tricky to line up my view through the lens, but the magnification is strong enough that I can just remove my glasses altogether and still work comfortably.After extended use—up to two hours straight—I’ve noticed the LEDs don’t heat up at all. That’s impressive. I truly have zero complaints. This has become a mainstay for my precision work and easily earns a top-tier recommendation.

I ordered his this magnifying glass with LED light for my computer desk. The magnifying glass with LED light was very easy to put together. Just attach the adjustable goose-neck arm section to the base (either the heavy duty square base or desk clamp - both provided), attach the magnifying glass itself to the LED light section and your done. As I already stated you can attach the arm section to the heavy duty square base or use the supplied desk clamp (see photos). I chose the heavy duty square base since I want to move the magnifying glass around to different types of desks.On the LED light section of the magnifying glass are 4 buttons, one to turn the LED light off and on, one button to brighten the light, one button to dim the light and one button to change the color temperature of the light. There are all kind of adjustments you can make to make sure you have the magnifying glass section where you want to use it. The arm section goes up and down, left and right, forward and backward. The LED light magnifying glass section goes up and down, and tilts left and right.The magnifying glass comes with a long USB-A power cable and wall charger. So you have the choice of plugging it into an electrical wall outlet or using your computer's USB connection. I'm glad I ordered this magnifying glass and recommend it.
