Sometimes you just need to drive a lot of LEDs....like my poor-man's take on a TIX clock. This chip works great for that....up to 8 x 8, and you can make some of those be 7-segment displays with automatic decoding.One word of caution: It is a 5V-only part. I'm driving it with an ESP32 module, so I put 2N7000's on the CLOCK, DATA, and LOAD lines to be compatible (look up "Level Translation 3.3V to 5V" and I'm sure you'll see a ton of examples).Fast shipping, good prices....what's not to like?
