  • Environmentally-safe. Made of recycled auto and other clear glass products, it is crushed by a roller-type mechanism to a consistency of 40-80 mesh. Similar in appearance to Glass Beads, except edges are sharper and in different shapes. These edges cut faster than Glass Beads, giving a medium texture to the blasted metal. Because paint and rust removal is fast, slightly more dust is present; but the results are FANTASTIC! Skat Magic Abrasive is the original abrasive included with all Skat Blast Cabinets.

TECH TIP: When using a Skat Blast Cabinet, a variety of dry abrasives can be used. Generally, the higher the grit number, the finer the abrasive. The finer the abrasive, the smoother the finish. Coarse-grit abrasives cut fast, but the finish isn't as smooth as fine-grit abrasives. Always change abrasive on a regular basis.
