These nails are as pretty as can be. The nail is solid black with a ribbed brass head. They look like jewelry! However, being so small (one inch long), I will not risk using them to hang a picture that weighs more than a pound that is mounted in drywall. Yes, they are sharp, and they pound easily into wood or drywall, but in anything other than solid wood, I fear the nail will drag down with the weight of the framed picture or canvas.
