I wish I'd thought to do this sooner. The o-ring failed on the drain valves on both of my air compressor tanks and leaked badly when closed. Replaced the stock valves with this on a whim and was majorly impressed. The braided leader makes it easy to open the valve without getting under the tank and now I have no excuse for not emptying it every time. So easy to install, I only needed one adjustable wrench to remove the old and replace with the new. Threads are pre-treated with sealant, so no tape or dope required.

I had to crawl on my side to get to the air compressor drain valve so I rarely did it. Now with this hose extension I can purge the tank daily. I didn’t use the ell that came with the hose. The fine rust silt that blows out collects there. Well worth the price. Easy to install

Great valve, easy assembly. Only thing based on your compressor you will need to zip tie it ti some part of the tank. Otherwise it will just lay on the floor. Easy enough to do.

I purchased this when the standard OEM air tank valve began to fail. I typically drain my air tank after each use to remove any moisture from within the tank. The ball valve on this is significantly better than the standard valve that came on the California air tools compressor. I like that the small amount of extension places the ball valve outside of the bottom of the air tank so I can easily reach it to open/close without having to maneuver the compressor. Very nice quality you won't regret buying this as an upgrade/replacement.

This product works great on my compressor. I had attached a piece of pipe to extend the drain valve on my compressor to make it easier to drain but when I had to move the compressor I ended up breaking of the elbow where it entered the tank. Found this flexible drain pipe on Amazon, installed it and it works great. Thanks.

Totally awesome, not sold in any of the stores In my area, WHY???? and further to that, WHY???? don't ask when you're there either because wasting time listening to stupidity, I will try to save you..... but you can ask.. Either Macgyver your own, or just buy it from amazon. This is the way to drain the water out of your tank. I attached a quick disconnect hose to it and just ran it through the wall of the shop to the outside. Works great, no more lying on the floor draining water into a little container.I thought this product was awesome, it was......for about a year then it started leaking air. The hose just rusted away at the valve end. The other end at the tank was rusting as well. At this point I was not spending another $35 so I macgyvered a drain system from one of my tire pressure hoses. This hose is rubber, no rusting here.Sept 2021. The brass elbow that threads into the bottom of the tank, broke off when I went to remove it. I wanted to install a new drain line. Now I had a broken piece of threaded brass stuck in the tank housing. Due to limited space between this area and the floor, had to Macgyver a tool too remove it. Ground down the end of an old flat screw driver, used broken brass elbow as a smple to have the screw driver end fit into the hole of the broken piece in the tank. Attached a small vise-grip on it, jammed it into the broken brass piece and turned it out. Sigh of relief it worked right away. My final REVIEW....is now not a Quality Product.
