We bought a very large antique Persian rug. We got it from an outside dealer. When we brought it in the house a distinct barn yard odor was very apparent, especially on humid days. We tried baking powder soda and Fabreeze but to no avail. Moving it is a job so we decided to try this. We closed the door, set the timer for 30 minutes and hoped for the best. To our surprise the odor had been eliminated. We also used it in the basement to get rid of that moldy odor.What I am a bit concerned about is the warnings about ozone. Ozone is a highly reactive compound of oxygen that should not be inhaled. That being said, you have to be careful that there are no living things in the space when this is on and to make sure you air the space out after.

I was skeptical about this reducing smells, but I set it when I left the house for the day and it really worked. I came back to it smelling very neutral, maybe a little bit sanitized almost? It’s hard to describe. But definitely reduced pet odors in the house, and very easy to use.

I was skeptical about this, but it really does remove smells. My dogs became wet due to weather during playtime at the dog park.This brought the wet dog smell to my car. I plugged this in and left it in my car overnight. I didn’t set the timer and kept it on. I took it out in the morning and smells were gone. Normally it would take many days on its own, but this quickened the process.Please read the directions and don’t be in the area when it’s in use.

This machine starts producing ozone right away as soon as you power it on, which is great. It definitely helps with odor removal, but if you're dealing with something deeply set in, like old tobacco smoke, one session probably won't be enough. I’ve had to run it a couple of times to really notice the difference. Still, it’s powerful and does the job as long as you give it enough time and sessions.
