This is the best one I think that is available on Amazon I had several pins break using another one I bought from cycle gear or revzilla I finally gave up and bit the bullet and bout this one. I will say this I broke two pins from motion pro before buying this one but I was using them on another breaker. When I got this one no pins broke but I still feel that there has to be a company out there that can produce a breaker with stronger pins so no five star here either. Buy extra pins to be safe.

This chain tool was not strong enough to rivet a DID 530VX3. The DID KM500R tool did work, however.

I used this to replace my motorcycle chain, and it worked pretty well. The biggest problem was trying to find all the tiny parts between chain breaking and riveting.The inclusion of a bag of some sort would be nice, as it is I've placed everything into some durable plastic zipper bags to keep them together in my toolbox.During use I used a standard metric crescent/socket wrench to apply additional force to rivet the chain properly.

This thing does it all. I needed it to rivet a master link which it did perfectly, only one issue though, that the anvil broke/cracked. Thankfully the kit comes with two other pieces that can be used to back the master clip so the riveting part of the tool has something to back against the master link. It can also push the pins through to shorten a chain and it will also press the links together. I could have saved myself buying two other tools, the press and a breaker had I known that this thing did all three things. I really needed it for the rivet function though.

I haven't used as a breaker, only a press and rivet, but when riveting the base or pedestal or whatever the anvil-type part is called shattered into several pieces. I was still able to use the other bit and get my chain on, but expected better durability than less-than-one-use.

Worked quite well although I don't have a lot of experience using one. Very good quality tool. I was very cautious and used a grinder to make it easier for the chain breaker to work. The chain I was joining was very beefy and I didn't want to break it the first day out.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Never felt like it was going to break or anything. Took a significant amount of torque to get the job done, but I have never used a tool like this before so I don't know how much leverage other chain tools have.

At first I thought I would go the cheap way and use a C-clamp. After about an hour of trying... well that didn't work. Then looking around I saw this and after reading the reviews on it thought why not give it a try. It took me about 20 minutes from time I opened the package to I had the chain done. I wish I would of bought this the first time. It would os saved me a lot of time. It was super easy to put together and use. The hardest part was lining up the holes as I pressed my rivet type master link on. The tool it's self feels like it is pretty sturdy. I didn't have any issues with it at all. Now thinking about it, cutting the rivet and pressing the old master link off would of been easier with this.

This is a good deal for a great tool. If you're a Motorcycle Owner and you do your own maintenance, you should have a good chain tool and this is it. All you need to remove and replace your chain.(A right angle grinder helps too) This is the perfect tool and what a discount, who needs a crappy plastic box anyway?
