This fits me much as a regular long-sleeve T-shirt would in large size: not much in way of compression. I'd go a size smaller for that.I plan to try this for swimming in the ocean this summer. I hope it will make the early summer cold water more tolerable; and reduce the effect of run-ins with late summer jellyfish.I'll update the review when I see how it wears in the water.

great looking top - unique style, definitely the fit is tighter but still works. love the pattern I chose and it works great for being out in the sun! it is protective and comfy and stylish and good material.

Comfortable fit. Has held up well through a few washes loads with low/no heat drying. I have trouble between small and medium sizes with my build but the small worked out here. Not too tight if you're looking for one of those. Looks great.

This is a really nice shirt. It looks great, having a fun design. It has a nice thickness to it, and for me, when I ordered a size down, medium when I would normally wear a large with every other item, it was perfect fit.At one size down, I have a nice, semi-tight fit, yet truly still not close to some of my compression shirts. which is appropriate since this is not meant to be one. At the same time, I know I wanted a shirt like this that would wear close, and not be baggy, and this did the trick.The shirt otherwise is perfect for swimming and other wet-water activity. It's got a nice, quick dry material, and I consider it is perfect for its suggested use. I like it a lot. Oh, and for me, what was the real kicker for confirmation, was the sleeve length, which one size down, was still spot on.

This is a very tight but comfortable rash guard. It has an attractive pattern, and is tight enough so that in water it won't become loose and ride up. I got a medium, which was a bit tight on me as I have a 41-inch waist and a 42-inch chest, but in the water it will be perfect. You should size up if you don't plan to wear this in the water but instead wear it just on the beach.

I used this in a pool for laps. It does have some compression, espcially while putting it on, but once in the water it loosens up. The fit was good, true sizing. If you want more compression, maybe go for a size smaller. The fabric feels good against the skin, it is smooth and comfortable. The thickness of the fabric is good for mild compression. It holds water which is why it looses compression in the water. It took a long time to dry while hanging up, which proves how much water it holds. It all depends on what you need and what your are looking for. It is a nice looking shirt. It is a good price for what you are getting. If you want really good compression, this might not be the shirt for you; otherwise, I like the shirt a lot, and I will get a lot of use out of it this summer.

Granted I don't look like the model in the ad, but I expected this shirt to fit a bit tighter than it does. I am 5'10", 140lbs and the shirt in size small still has room. The fabric is thicker than I expected, and the neck is more like a mock. I'm not a fan and can't see myself wearing this on a warm beach day to block the sun as it's not very breathable.
