This is a gorgeous watch! It has a heft that adds a bit of gravitas to it while showing the day, date, month and year . . . . and, of course, the time! The watch is served by a small, pointed tool with a unique holder. Each side of the watch has 2 “dimples” that allow you to adjust the day, date, month and year. You adjust each by using the pointed end of the tool, pushing in the “dimple” so it changes each correctly. [see pictures] Adjust the time by pulling out the stem.I have only two quibbles, one of which is solely on me. First, the watch comes with no instructions, thus my description of how to change the day, date, month and year; moreover, there are no instructions on how to change the length of the band. However, you can always contact the company for that information. Second, and this is on me, my geezer eyes have a little difficulty reading the day, date, month and year, but by golly no problem seeing the time of day!I recall as a kid being mesmerized by automatically winding watches – no need to wind it and wondered how they did that. Now I have one yet still question how it’s done (I suppose I can easily research it, but a little mystery still needs to accompany one’s life). In sum: Whether for you or as an excellent gift, it’s elegant, requires no winding, requires no batteries, just wear it and it winds and tells you the time!

I requested the silver and black watch option and am pleased with the quality and overall value of this watch. Often times, I use weight as an indicator of quality, and this watch has good weight to it. The links fit together well, the clasp is sturdy, and it came in a nice box with paper overlay that can be removed prior to giving this watch as a gift. The paper overlay kept the box in pristine condition during shipping. This watch also comes with a winding tool.
