I prefer the compact size and weight of isobutane canisters over the regular butane canisters and the larger one pound propane tanks. I don’t like the cost of the isobutane canisters however. This gives me the ability to refill those canisters with the much cheaper butane during the warmer months and propane for the late season camping trips. This is simple to use. The pressure relief valve makes it easy to fill the canisters to the correct weight. I found no burrs or nicks on the threads. It screws on and off the canisters easily. The chock valve is smooth and seals completely with no gas leaks. The unit itself is small and light weight. I keep it in a case with my other adapters. If you are not familiar with refilling any type of gas canister, I would recommend watching videos of how it is done before you use this. I would also recommend using a good quality kitchen scale to ensure that you don’t overfill your gas canister. ALWAYS refill canisters in a well ventilated area and on a spark free surface. I refill mine outdoors on a large silicone mat.Overall I am happy with the quality and performance of this refill adapter.

Some will try to sell you those for up to $70. You can find them between 5 and 10 bucks and they are all the same if not for the color. The ones I got work very well. Don't tight to hard and be vigilant of the state of the O-rings. Replace if needed.

Does not fit 14oz or 16oz cylinders. I am certain it is a very well made product and the price is right, however, it will not serve my purpose.

A friend showed me these valves after I was complaining about the cost and inefficiency of hauling isobutane canisters backpacking. Seems you always need more than what's left in the canister, but there's too much left to toss it. Now, I buy a big can when it's on sale, and refill a small canister to use backpacking! Just be careful and weigh your canister so you don't overfill it! If they're too full, the stove will burn MUCH hotter and be harder to control. Common sense is paramount, but it could catch you by surprise...

As a outdoor fans, I always met the awkward situation that when I go out for camping, the iso butane canisters I brought will not fully run out for just a single trip. For the next time, I have to bring a brand new full butane canister with me for security. So, every year there will be a dozen of half-empty butane fuel canisters left in my garage, which only have 1/3 or 1/4 fuel gas inside, I totally have no idea what to do about these canisters, throwing them away is such as waste and harmful for the environment, but if I am using them I have to bring 3-4 half-empty butane canisters to make sure that I will not be running out of gas in the wild. And this Hotdevil refill adapter is a savor for me! With this refill adapter, I can collect residue fuel gas from several half-empty cans and refill them into one to get a full butane fuel canisters, just use like the brand new fuel bottle, greatly save my space and money. I just LOVE this butane refill adapter! Very practical!

I saw a lot of people’s reviews on this item said that it is not working, I think they might not dig the right uses of it, so here are some tips for everyone. You know, transfer the fuel gases between two canisters, the gas will always move from the higher pressure one to the lower one, this is physics, right? This refill adapter is only a converter connection and it does not pressurize or de-pressurize the gas canisters connecting to. So, you can never move the gas from a 1/3 bottle to a 1/2 bottle under normal circumstances, the gas will always move from the 1/2 bottle to the 1/3 bottle until they reach a balance. If you want to move the gas from lower canisters to higher canister, remember to warm up the bottle you want to transfer out or cool the bottle you want to transfer in, the temperature difference will create a new pressure differences between the two bottles, so the gas could actually flow to the place you want it to go to. This is a very easy process, for me, I always put the canister which I want to transfer out the gas into some hot water, soap it for a few minuets, then screw it onto the refill adapter to finish the refill process, , you can try this! It will make the refill process much easier and faster!

Good quality, although getting isobutane from one tank to the other is a process, helps to chill one can and heat the other..
