This Fram filter is a bit long and the cover won't fit properly - I wasted a lot of time trying to get to fit, I'm not happy but was able to get all but 1 screw engaged. I will buy a different brand next time.

So it's the OEM filter, which h brings it's own list of issues.To start with the obvious.Due to it being a Ford it does not fit in the airbox it was designed for. You stick it in and then try to slam the cover on top of it to get the bolts to line up so you can lock it in. Then there is 4 bolts that need to be tightened simultaneously. Seeing as I am am an actual mechanic an air filter change should not be the hardest task to complete. Why is the filter not slightly smaller tso that it fits with no issues?

The filter which I received is too long to fit in the air box. The diameter is OK, only the length is too long. The part number on the box shows as being the correct one for my vehicle. Perhaps there is some manufacturing tolerance issue here? It will be necessary to buy the filter locally so that I can compare its length to old one which fits OK.

Genuine Ford filter but it's just a bit longer than my old one, making installation difficult.

FIT TO FORD ESCAPE 2016. IF IT CAN STILL SHORT 0.5MM THAT WILL BE THE BEST. ANYWAY IT IS WAY BETTER THEN OTHER FILTER (THEY TOTALLY NOT FIT)
