This was the first time buying a Department 56 item.Let me start about the packaging. I was not impressed at all. It was in it's normal form fitting foam, with a sleeve over it. It was not double boxed like Lemax products are. It was then put in a plastic bag and placed in a cardboard box. While the cardboard box was form fitting to the foam, for as much as we pay for these items, I was expecting a little more security.Now for the product review. It is exactly as described. Nothing was broken, so I was surprised there. Lovely paint job and great design. Wonderful lighting. I do think it is better paint job than the Lemax products. It will make a wonderful addition to our Spooky Town.
