One of my favorite things about the houses in the North Pole series is the warm light they give off. This one is quite dark compared to the others.I've decided that I'm not much of a fan of Dept. 56 village releases with moving parts. I have 4 in my 2 different collection and regret purchasing all of them (2 in the Nightmare Before Christmas series and 2 in the North Pole Series). I didn't realize how much the sound would bother me until it was too late to return them. I won't make the mistake again.

We love this village. Have many pieces. This one is not very well lit up, so you do not notice the rolling candy cane. Needs to be near a well lit piece.
