I was hoping my pup would wear it outside when it was incredibly windy. He shook it off. However, he allows me to put it on when blow drying him. There may be hope with training for wind storms.Velcro is strong, material is soft, it has folds so the hat can extend.Overall, very happy. I did have to exchange for size.

I have a dog prone to ear hematomas from allergies to dirt here that require $1000 surgery. The trauma and cost are something we’re both motivated to avoid so began trying a series of these.The one that worked was sized and allowed for adjustment; this is not that. OSFA was not our experience. This was too large for his head, as with these fit matters and improper fit means this will be useless around their neck like a fabric collar, leaving ears free. Pressure is required for these to work at reducing anxiety or not allowing ears to flap.Material used was very soft & pleasant to the touch. The lavender got dirty very quick by muddy paws,Manufacturer, adding size range & adjustability would greatly improve your product. More colors than lavender are also advisable.This did look absolutely adorable the brief periods when it was on properly transforming my dog into a red 4-footed Aunt Jemima.

This doesn’t stop the dog from shaking his ears, nor does it stay on through the dog shaking his ears.The draw string is less than useless and actually makes the product worse by shortening the total coverage area, making the product easier to shake off.If you care for your dog and you’re trying to isolate their ears after hematoma surgery or allow a hematoma to heal naturally, this product is not what you need.

My basset hound's long floppy ears are covered. Velcro under neck keeps hood comfortable. Also, an adjustable pull to keep from covering eyes.
