  • Infrared filters, sometimes called infrared filters or heat-absorbing filters, are designed to allow mid-infrared wavelengths in the infrared while blocking visible light. They are often used on devices with bright incandescent bulbs (such as slideshows and overhead projectors) to prevent unnecessary heating.
  • Since many camera sensors are highly sensitive to near-infrared light, there are also filters for solid-state (CCD or CMOS) cameras to allow infrared light. These filters are often blue in color because they sometimes block some of the shorter visible and UV wavelengths of light as well.
  • Digital cameras are often equipped with infrared blocking filters to prevent unnatural images. Infrared transmitting (passing through) filters, or factory infrared blocking filters, are commonly used in infrared photography to pass infrared light and block visible and ultraviolet light. This filter appears black to the naked eye but is transparent when viewed with infrared-sensitive equipment.
  • The Adjustable IR Filter is a compact, all-in-one variable wavelength filter that can be adjusted with just a turn of the wrist. Index markings on the filter let you know the exact number of wavelengths at a glance. No matter what wavelength you use, it will give you clear and accurate shooting results. it sets you free
  • Create different wavelengths without having to carry a bunch of filters to shoot with. With just one filter you have the freedom to provide a range from 530nm to 750nm.

Please note:
1. When using an infrared filter, it is best to remove the infrared blocking filter in front of the CCD or CMOS sensor.
2. Set white balance
3. If you don’t want to do any conversion on the device, you can do some post-processing after shooting to achieve the infrared effect.
In what ways will IR filters be used?
1. Archeology, military, police, medicine, detective work. Infrared filters can make normally invisible stains and touch-up items visible.
2. Vegetation and landscape photography. It looks very different when photographed under infrared light.
3. Photography special effects. Infrared filters provide expressive and unusual effects for still and video photographers.
Under what appropriate light source should I use an IR filter?
Infrared filters block all visible light of relevant wavelengths
590nm, 600nm, and 630nm are used for infrared replacement machines. The colors are rich and the white balance is customizable. The original sky is generally bright red, brown or amber, and the plant leaves are blue. After azure saturation processing, the leaves are yellow or gold.
680nm, suitable for indoor and low-shade use.
750nm, suitable for indoor and low light use.
760nm, outdoor and indoor brightness on cloudy days at night.
