very well made stinless steel. Screws that come with this are too small and too long. The head on them snaps off without a lot of pressure while tightening, which is normal for Chinese made screws. Just purchase some at ACE or any hardware store that has bens of screws.

I used it to mount a wind gong that is fairly heavy. It only makes noise when it is windy so I needed something that would keep the gong from falling in high winds. Worked perfectly.
