1.Q: Why there are two different screws?
A: We are equipped with two different screws for solid wall(Brick wall and cement wall) and hollow wall (Cement fiber board, wood board and other hollow substrates,etc) , which can install the lamps you want on all kinds of walls.
2.Q: Can the swag hook be adjusted for tightness?
A: The tightness of swag hook is not adjustable. For smaller diameter wires, you can use Insulation tape to wrap them where the hook hold them. Make them fit better on ceiling hooks.
3. Q: Are these used on vertical walls? Or is it just for the ceiling?
A: It can be used either on the ceiling or on a vertical wall.
4. Q: Can these be used for flat power cords?
A: It's the diameter (or width) of the wire that matters, not the shape. Appropriate for cable diameter :<6 mm /0.23 in.

These are the perfect solution if you live in a rental like me. I live in a rental that have very little built in light and these hooks secure my plug-in overhead light’s cords (because I can’t set up real electrical) with a polished finished. It helps make your place look more permanent. I did drill holes in my ceiling for these but I don’t mind because I’ll patch the holes before moving out, they’re small enough. Highly recommend.

The 'fit and finish' of the piece was lacking. The 'screw mechanism' to put the two parts together was rough, didn't fit well, and was easily cross-threaded which is particularly frustrating when installing this on a ceiling as it obviously is meant to be done! This is particularly puzzling since the hole where the wire fits through was very precise and accurately described in the listing.Bottom line: It WORKED, which is why it gets three stars, and was well packaged so it arrived without damage, but still, not the most polished manufacturing. It ALMOST felt like it was '3-D printed' instead of injection molded.

I like these since no chain is required. Thei look good but do impact the cord a little. Also, since the wire does not drop from the center you need to carefully decide where to put so the light falls where you want it.
