As I've been playing the guitar since 1965 I've cleaned a lot of guitars.As far as the fretboard, my method has always been to run a cloth between the strings and the fretboard, and shimmy it back and forth.Until now.I was pleasantly surprised to see how easily and how well this device works. I thought it was a gimmick because, hey, the cloth always worked for me.But I ran this on the guitar and was happy to see how much dirt it cleaned. I mean, the cloth on this was real dirty. Fortunately, it cleans easily with running water.The one problem was when you get close to the nut, where the stringest are lowest to the keyboard. The device didn't fit there. But that's less than a half inch, I'd say.Bottom line: give this a try for your fretboard and string cleaning. You can't go wrong.
